Together our technical staff has nearly 150 years experience in Decorative Concrete. We are an active participant on the Decorative Concrete Forums and have leadership roles in many trade organizations to which we are members. Sunny (Our Mascot)
Came to us early March of 2008 and has been a loyal companion ever since. He has been linked to the disappearance of many hand tools and masking tape. Sunny entertains many of our trainees and customers. Has also been known to enjoy many treats.
Edward P. Benus (President)

Edward Benus, President of Color-Crown Corporation, is a member of the National Association of Home Builders, The National Spa and Pool Association, The Southern Society of Coating Technology, The Florida Paint Council, and a founding member of the Decorative Concrete Council. He occupies leadership roles on many committees and is a strong advocate for this industry by use of his many political associates. Unlike other companies, which only offer salesmen to assist you, Ed has been in the coating industry for over thirty years and is a true expert in helping others build their business as well as how to apply almost any coating system. His great knowledge with hands on experience enables him to give you the technical advice you need to apply our products with confidence.
Jeff Griffin (Chief Operating Officer)

Jeffrey Griffin, Chief Operating Officer, was a board member of both the American Society of Concrete Contractors and the Decorative Concrete Council. He was a past President of the Southern Society of Coatings Technology Central Florida Section. He is currently an active member of these organizations as well as many others. Jeff attended Coatings Chemistry classes at the University of Missouri and the University of South Florida. His on-the-job experience and nearly 30 year history with the company provides the professional technical assistance to get the job done.
Paul G. Ryan (Business Development Specialist)
Paul originally from Michigan has been in the sales and marketing field for more than 26 years. Paul’s expertise in marketing, sales and customer satisfaction adds a value to any potential installer not to mention Paul’s professional demeanor and solid work ethic will truly be a plus to STARDEK and their installers.
Lew (Director of Development)
Born in Warren, OH – Lew came to Color-Crown in August of 2003 with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Industrial Marketing. He has a strong background in business marketing and a wealth of information for starting and growing your STARDEK business.
Lisa (Office Manager)
Native Floridian – Attended business classes at Hillsborough Community College from 1997-1999. Lisa has been working for Color-Crown since April of 1998. She has participated at several World of Concrete shows and the International Builders Show. She is now the executive assistant to the owner and President of Color-Crown, Ed Benus as well as the office manager. Lisa wears many hats but is best at accommodating the needs of our installers. She has a true “Get R Done” attitude.
Wendy Jackson (Controller)
Born in Akron, OH, Wendy comes to Color-Crown with over 27 years of work experience. She earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles and is currently working on her MBA at St. Leo University. At Color-Crown Wendy oversees all aspects of our accounting department.
Emma (Customer Service Representative)
Born in New York, and raised in California she moved to Florida in 2006. Emma joined Color-Crown in October of that year. Having previous sales experience, she is a great representative of the STARDEK product with excellent customer service skills. Emma works with the scheduling of new installers for training and also assists in the marketing to new installers.
Brandi Miner (Accounting Department)
Born and raised in Dade City, Florida, Brandi attended business classes at Santa Fe Community College as well as PHCC for an Associates Degree in Business Management. Brandi has a strong background in sales and team management as well as account management. Brandi assists with invoicing, tracking shipments, account reconciliations and other aspects of accounting customer service.
Jessica (Receptionist)
Born in Oxnard, CA and graduated from U.N.R. with an Associates degree in Applied Science. Moved to Florida in 2005. Jessica has been with Color-Crown since March of 2006. As our Receptionist, she is always very pleasant to reach on the phone. She also assists in many day to day office duties. You can hear the smile in her voice every time she answers the phone.
Jim K. (Plant Manager)
Born in Cleveland, OH. Jim came to Color-Crown in 1990 with previous experience in the shipping industry. Jim handles all aspects of material manufacturing, handling and shipping of STARDEK products world wide. Jim works hard to keep raw material cost down so we can give you, the Installer, the competitive edge.
Carmen (Assistant Plant Manager)
Born in Johnstown, PA – Carmen came to Color-Crown in 1998 with experience in shipping and customer service. He has proven to be a valued asset to our manufacturing plant and shipping department. Carmen is well versed in all manufacturing aspects of STARDEK products and is always committed to finding you the best shipping prices available.
Mark (Trainer)
Born in Somerville, NJ – Mark began his career with Color-Crown in 1978 and worked in the field for 26 years before being brought in as one of our head trainers. With almost 30 years of experience, he has proven to have extensive knowledge in the decorative concrete coatings industry.
Mike (Trainer)
Born in Albany, NY – Mike came to Color-Crown in 1994. He has over 31 years of experience in the decorative concrete coatings industry and participates in all trade shows as well as on the road training for STARDEK products. Mike as well as Mark is one of the most knowledgeable people in the coatings industry today and heads up our technical department.
Gary
(Plant Dept.)
Native Floridian – Gary came to Color-Crown with an eagerness to work in our shipping department. He loves working with people and is very excited about working for a fast growing company such as STARDEK. Gary works in all aspects of manufacturing and shipping.
Ron Reyes

Born in Puerto Rico, Ron comes to us with more than 10 years experience in the shipping and coatings manufacturing industry. Ron works in all areas of our materials manufacturing. Ron’s knowledge of the coatings industry is a true asset to our company.
